Statement of Beliefs

  • ​We believe that all Scripture is given by inspiration of God. We understand the whole Bible is inspired in the sense that men of God were moved by the Holy Spirit to write the very words of Scripture. We believe the complete inerrancy of the original manuscripts of the whole Bible and that they serve as the only rule of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21).
  • ​We believe in the Eternal Godhead who has revealed Himself as ONE God existing in THREE persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; distinguishable but indivisible, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Genesis 1:1).
  • ​We believe in the creation, test, and fall of man as recorded in the book of Genesis; man’s total spiritual depravity and inability to attain divine righteousness. We believe although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin”. This attitude separates people from God and causes many problems in life. (Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12, 18).
  • ​​We believe in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary. Jesus Christ, is the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, one in Being with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven, is seated at the right hand of the Father and will return again someday to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.(Luke 1:26-35; John 1:1-5; John 1:18; Isaiah 7:14; 9:6; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 4:25; John 14:2-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).​
  • ​We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary by which we obtain remission of sins. Salvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn to Jesus, entrusting our all to Him in faith, we are saved. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12; Romans 3:21-26; Romans 5:11; Romans 6:23; Titus 3:5-7).
  • ​We believe in The Holy Spirit who is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make us aware of our need for Jesus Christ. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer a spiritual gift when they are saved. As Christians, we seek to live in obedience daily. (John 15:26; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:1-4; Acts 2:33; Acts 19:1-6).
  • ​We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of the Eternal Godhead for every believer. Water baptism represents: an outward testimony of what has happened inwardly with the experience of salvation, our dying to our old way of life and commitment to live in the resurrection power of Christ, a public confession of Jesus’ Lordship in our lives, and an obedient response to Christ’s command (Matthew 3:13-16; Acts 2:36-39; 19:1-6).
  • ​We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to salvation, with the Scriptural evidence; (Acts 2:1-4; 8:14-17; 10:44-46; Ephesians 1:13-14).
  • ​We believe that God has established marriage as a lifelong, exclusive relationship between one man and one woman and that all intimate sexual activity outside the marriage relationship, whether heterosexual, homosexual, or otherwise, is immoral and contrary to God’s design (Genesis 2:24-25; Exodus 20:14, 17, 22:19; Leviticus 18:22-23, 20:13, 15-16; Matthew 19:4-6, 9; Romans 1:18-31; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, 15-20; 1 Timothy 1:8-11; Jude 7).
  • ​​We believe that God created the human race male and female and that all conduct with the intent to adopt a gender other than one’s birth gender is contrary to God’s design. We believe the Bible calls us to maintain a clear, biologically rooted distinction between male and female. We believe we are to lovingly resist the blurring of gender distinctiveness and that cultural trajectory which denies God-given boundaries to our created sexual and gender identity (Genesis 1:27; Deuteronomy 22:5).
  • ​​We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ and Jesus Himself is the Head. The point of our individual lives is to point to Him – to bring Him glory. The point of our existence as a corporate entity is also to point to Him – to proclaim to the world, through our love of God and each other, that God is real, His Word is true and His love is life-changing (1 Corinthians 12:12-31; Ephesians 1:22-23).
  • ​We hold the belief that sharing the Good News of God’s love and Salvation through His grace, baptizing, and mentoring others in the Christian faith is not only a privilege but also a command bestowed upon all believers by Jesus, an honor we cherish deeply (Matthew 28:16-20).
